Rustic & Romantic

One of the things that we do when we plan for weddings is to put together a wedding inspiration board. Many brides would agree that the best way to communicate about her vision of her wedding day, from the design of her wedding dress to the colour of the table cloth, is done with pictures from magazines and internet. As we work with bridal clients to uncover their signature style and colour themes, we use wedding inspiration board as one of the best way to manage their expectations and communicate visually by using colour palettes, fabrics, several distinguishing elements and images. As many would argue, describing your visual verbally is very different when interpretated by the wedding planner, and vice versa.

So, to start off the year, I’ve decided to share our wedding inspiration boards for any up-coming projects in my blog. As Louis Pang once told me, “got to know how to be generous in order to gain more.” *smile*

The images put together are generally pictures and images from vendors, internet or magazines. It’s really a way to kick start the direction of the planning process and tune in to the bridal client’s style.

The bridal client wants a romantic down-to-earth, almost rustic-feel to the wedding with cream, brown and pink as the key colours. This is the first inspiration board prepared for discussion.
